It's not exactly prototype size. And trust me, the picture doesn't do it justice, it look much better in person (even though it looks great in the picture). I bought this radio for my mother for mother's day, and she loves it. Reception is fantastic and the sound, while not exactly vacuum tube warm, has that "contained in wood sound" (I could just be crazy though). My only wish would be that it were bigger with a bigger speaker.
First, it looks wonderful, has that old style look to it with the dark Walnut, goes great with any decor. Unfortuantely, this does not have a clock, so I still need my alarm, but I have this sitting on my desk to listen to my local radio stations.
This is actually my second Crosley item, and I will continue to purchase their products. I live in Philadelphia and am picking up Deleware radio stations.
The stations come through crystal clear. Thet are all very good looking and solid products.
I purchased this radio a little while ago, and have been pleased with it since delivery. Second, the sound is great, sounds much better than my old clock radio.
The build quality is very good, it feels very solid.I definately reccomend this product, and come to think of it, any and all Crosley products.
